What is an email blast?

An email blast, or bulk email, is one email sent to many recipients at once: a weekly newsletter, a promotion, news about a new product, or an important announcement. Compared with chat messages, an email blast costs less per recipient, is not limited by chat apps' broadcast rules, and can carry a full design.

On Helipod, email blasts are sent from your own domain through Amazon SES with correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, as Gmail and Yahoo require of bulk senders, so your chances of reaching the inbox are higher.

Contacts who have bounced, reported spam, or unsubscribed are skipped automatically, and generic addresses such as admin@ or noreply@ are not sent broadcasts. Your list stays clean without manual cleanup.

How do I send bulk email?
Verify your domain, import your contact list from CSV, create an email template, then pick the contacts or segment to send to and send now or schedule it. Helipod sends from your domain with SPF, DKIM, and an automatic unsubscribe link, then shows a report of what was sent, opened, and clicked.
Is there a free email blast?
The Free plan can send 50 emails per day over the API and SMTP so you can try it out. The broadcast feature (email blasts to a contact list) is available from the Starter plan, because bulk sending needs contact list checks and domain reputation protection.
What is an email blast?
An email blast is one identical email sent to many recipients at once, such as a newsletter, a promotion, or a product announcement. On Helipod, an email blast is called a broadcast and is sent to the contacts or segment you choose.
How many emails can I send?
It depends on your plan's quota: 2,500, 8,500, or 15,500 emails per month on paid plans, with contact limits of 1,500 to 8,500. If your quota runs out, you can switch to paying per email without changing plans. The free plan is for trying out sending and does not include broadcasts.
Will my email blast land in spam?
Helipod sends from your own domain with correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, over Amazon SES infrastructure. Every email blast includes a one-click unsubscribe link as Gmail and Yahoo require. Addresses that have bounced or reported spam are skipped automatically. You still get the best results when your contact list is made up of people who actually agreed to receive your email.
Can I send to a purchased email list?
No. Purchased lists, or lists collected without permission, produce lots of bounces and spam reports, which damage your domain reputation. When you import contacts, you are asked to confirm that they have given permission. Sending with too many bounces or spam reports is stopped automatically to protect your domain.
How do I import contacts?
Upload a CSV file with an email column, and optionally first_name and last_name. The first name can be used in templates as {{firstName}}, for example Hi {{firstName}}. Other data such as city or subscription plan can be stored as contact properties through the API, then used as variables and to build segments.
How is Helipod different from an email blast agency?
An email blast agency usually sends emails for you per campaign. Helipod is an app you use yourself: you manage the contacts, templates, and schedule, and pay a monthly plan. That makes regular sending cheaper and keeps your data in your hands.
