SRS Live Streaming Server
About
SRS is an open-source live video server. This VPS runs SRS 5.15.20 as SRS Stack (also known as Oryx), which adds a web console to manage stream keys, restreaming and recording.
You send the broadcast from OBS to the server over RTMP. From there it can be watched in the browser (HLS or WebRTC), forwarded to YouTube, Facebook or TikTok at the same time, and recorded on the server.
Mind the bandwidth. Video uses a lot of traffic and every viewer adds outgoing traffic. A 3 Mbps stream to 50 viewers is about 150 Mbps. Pick a plan whose port speed and traffic quota fit your audience, or restream to platforms so viewers do not watch directly from your VPS.
How it works
Choose a plan whose port speed and traffic quota fit your audience, then the closest region: Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo or Seoul.
The VPS is created with SRS 5.15.20. Ports 2022 (console), 1935 (RTMP), UDP 8000 (WebRTC) and UDP 10080 (SRT) are opened automatically.
Open the console on port 2022 from the link in the Application tab. On the first visit you set the admin password. Do this right after the server is ready.
In OBS, enter the server rtmp://IP/live and the stream key from the console. Then set up playback, restreaming or recording in the console.
