aaPanel VPS
aaPanelAbout
aaPanel is a free hosting control panel for Linux servers. From your browser you can create websites, MySQL databases, FTP accounts, SSL certificates and cron jobs, and manage files. On a Helipod aaPanel VPS, the panel is already installed on Debian 12.
Normally you rent an empty VPS, log in over SSH, run the aaPanel install script and open the panel port in the firewall. Here that is done: panel port 7800 is opened automatically for new VPS, and the Application tab in the dashboard shows the command to see your login address.
The panel makes things easier, root stays with you. You can still SSH in, install other software and configure the server by hand whenever you need to.
Getting Started
Pick the RAM and SSD for the number of sites you plan to run, then a server region. Pay monthly or for 3, 6 or 12 months up front.
When the VPS is running, open the Terminal tab in the dashboard and run sudo bt default. It shows the panel address on port 7800 (with a private security path), the username and the password.
Open that address in your browser and log in. Port 7800 is already open in the firewall. From the panel, install the web server and PHP versions you need.
Point your domain's A record to the VPS IP, add the site under Website, then in the SSL tab choose Let's Encrypt for a free certificate. Open ports 80 and 443 from the Application tab.
