OpenClaw VPS
OpenClawAbout
OpenClaw (formerly called Clawdbot) is an open-source personal AI assistant. It remembers context over the long term and you reach it through the chat apps you already use every day.
An assistant like this has to stay on so it can reply at any time. Running it on a laptop means it stops when the lid closes. On a Helipod OpenClaw VPS, OpenClaw is installed for the ubuntu user on Ubuntu 24.04 and runs 24/7.
Private by default: the install opens no web port to the internet. All setup is done over SSH, and you decide which AI model and chat apps are connected.
How it works
Pick 2 to 8 GB RAM, a region (Jakarta, Singapore, Johor Bahru, Bangkok, Tokyo or Seoul) and a period of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
Once the server is up, run ssh ubuntu@server-IP from your terminal, or use the Terminal tab in the dashboard.
The onboarding wizard asks for your AI model API key and helps you connect chat apps such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord or Slack.
Message your assistant from your chat app. OpenClaw runs on the VPS 24/7, so it still replies when your laptop is off.
