Why it matters

What you get

Custom Dockerfile

Bring your own Dockerfile for non-standard build steps. Full control over base image and dependencies.

Multi-stage Build

Separate build stage from production stage for smaller, more secure images.

System Dependencies

Install system packages your application needs, ImageMagick, FFmpeg, or other tools.

Monorepo Support

Per-service working directory for monorepos with multiple projects in one repository.

Steps

How it works

  1. 01

    Create Dockerfile

Create a Dockerfile in your project root with the base image and build steps you need.

  2. 02

    Connect Repository

Connect your repository to Helipod. The system will detect the Dockerfile automatically.

  3. 03

    Deploy

Click deploy and Helipod will build the image based on your Dockerfile.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Dockerfile and auto-detect together?
No. If there is a Dockerfile in the project root, Helipod will use it instead of auto-detect. You need to choose one.
What base images are supported?
All base images from Docker Hub are supported. You can use node, python, golang, or custom base images from any registry.
What is the image size limit?
There is no image size limit. However, smaller images build and deploy faster.
