SMTP relay
An SMTP relay is a server that forwards email from your app to the recipient's inbox. Almost any app can send over SMTP: WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Django, Odoo, even printers and office devices. All you change is the host, port, username, and password.
Sending straight from an ordinary hosting server often ends up in the spam folder, because the IP is shared and your domain lacks correct SPF and DKIM. Helipod sends through Amazon SES in the Jakarta region from your verified domain, so your email is more likely to reach the Gmail and Outlook inbox.
Email sent over SMTP goes through the same checks as the API: recipient addresses are checked first, addresses that have bounced or reported spam are not sent to, and everything is recorded in Logs.
Verify your domain
Add your sending domain and copy the DNS records shown in the dashboard.
Create an API key
Create a key in the API & webhooks menu. This key is your SMTP password.
Enter the SMTP settings
Host smtp.helipod.io, port 587, username apikey, password your API key.
Send a test email
Send one email from your app, then check its status in the Logs menu.
