WooCommerce VPS
About
A WooCommerce VPS is a VPS with WordPress and WooCommerce already installed. You do not install a web server, PHP, a database and WordPress one by one. Once the VPS is running, you can start adding products.
The stack is Nginx, PHP 8.4 and MariaDB on OpenCloudOS. The admin username and password are stored on the server, and the Application tab in the Helipod dashboard shows the command to read them, a link to the admin page, the ports in use and a domain and HTTPS guide.
Why a VPS instead of shared hosting? An online store needs steady resources when traffic peaks, and often needs plugins or server settings that shared hosting does not allow. On a VPS, every resource in the plan belongs to your store.
Getting Started
Pick the RAM and SSD your store needs, then a server region, for example Jakarta for buyers in Indonesia. Pay monthly or for 3, 6 or 12 months up front.
When the VPS is running, open the Terminal tab in the dashboard and run the login command shown in the Application tab. It shows the WordPress admin username and password and the database password.
Open http://VPS-IP/wp-admin and log in. If the dashboard is in Chinese, change it under Settings, General, Site Language. Then set up the store in the WooCommerce menu.
Point your domain's A record to the VPS IP, set WordPress Address and Site Address to your domain, then add a free Let's Encrypt certificate, for example with Certbot for Nginx. Ports 80 and 443 can be opened from the Application tab.
